About David
David spent seven years at Amazon Web Services as a Solutions Architect, helping enterprise customers design and migrate their infrastructure to the cloud. During that time he worked with clients in financial services, healthcare, and e-commerce — sectors where reliability and security aren't optional.
After leaving Amazon, David joined a growth-stage startup as Head of Infrastructure, scaling their platform from 10K to 2M daily active users over three years without a single significant outage. He then brought that experience to Vantade to give clients access to the same calibre of cloud expertise without the enterprise price tag.
His approach to cloud architecture is "boring infrastructure, exciting products" — he favours proven patterns, infrastructure-as-code, and observable systems over novelty. He holds six AWS certifications including the Solutions Architect Professional and the Security Specialty, and he actively contributes to several open-source Terraform module repositories.
